InterTalk awarded California State contract for NG9-1-1 systems


InterTalk Critical Information Systems, in partnership with Combix 9-1-1 has been awarded a contract with the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), from which the State and participating local agencies may procure equipment to process 9-1-1 emergency telephone calls at all Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in California. Deployment of Next Generation 9-1-1 System (NG9-1-1) is expected to roll out over five years, at an anticipated cost of over $400 million dollars statewide. The main function of the NG9-1-1 systems are to provide PSAPs with voice contact to a 9-1-1 emergency calling party and emergency responders. In California alone, there were over 28 million 9-1-1 calls answered across 443 PSAPs in 2016, the equivalent of 11 other Western States combined.

InterTalk has previously won a contract with the State of California for Dispatch Radio Console Systems, currently being implemented statewide for the California Highway Patrol.
